Digit Worldwide Treatment Plan is designed for customers who want the flexibility to receive eligible medical treatment outside India. Under the Worldwide Coverage section, treatment abroad is covered when the illness is diagnosed by a doctor in India and the insured travels outside India specifically for that treatment. The worldwide benefit covers eligible inpatient hospitalisation, day care procedures and organ donor expenses up to the Sum Insured specified in the policy schedule. The plan also provides core health insurance benefits in India, including hospitalisation, day care, domiciliary treatment, AYUSH hospitalisation, organ donor expenses and a Sum Insured backup benefit.
A global health insurance option covering eligible treatment abroad when the illness is diagnosed in India, with worldwide coverage up to the selected Sum Insured.
Worldwide Treatment is the strongest Digit option for customers who specifically value access to eligible treatment outside India. Its biggest differentiator is the Worldwide Coverage section, which can reimburse eligible medical expenses abroad up to the selected Sum Insured. The important condition is that the illness must first be diagnosed in India and prior approval is required before treatment abroad. The overseas section is also limited to defined coverages rather than acting as unrestricted international medical insurance. For treatment in India, the plan provides 100% Sum Insured backup once during the policy period for related and unrelated illness, along with no room-rent restriction.
